PDO Thread Lift

PDO Thread Lift

At Chic la Vie Med Spa we utilize NovaThreads in our practice as a wonderful Face-Lift alternative! Nova Threads have the ability to fill wrinkles and slightly lift the skin producing a wonderful appearance for our patients. In addition, as an added long-term benefit the patient’s skin will naturally produce collagen as a result of the PDO being absorbed during the procedure.

What Is The Absorbable Material Used During The Procedure?

Absorbable Material: PDO Threads! (Polydioxanone)

Nova Threads uses Polydioxanone, which is commonly used for biomedical applications, particularly in cardiothoracic surgery, because it is fully absorbed by hydrolysis within 4 to 6 months & doesn’t create any scar tissue. The foreign body stimulates collagen synthesis & the skin structure created will hold for another 12 to 15 months, making this an excellent material choice for PDO Thread procedures in Las Vegas.

Will There Be Any Cuts Or Incisions During My Procedure?

There will be no incisions during the procedure at Chic la Vie. NovaThreads are needles that are pre-loaded with a PDO thread. Simply insert the whole needle in the interstitial tissue at subdermal level, parallel to the surface of the skin & pull the needle out. The PDO thread remains under the skin.

What Is The Meshing & Lifting Technique?

With most beautiful and healthy faces you will notice a “V-shape” appearance. As the tissues in our faces age and drop due to the action of gravity, this “V-shape” gets lost. The idea behind the Nova-Mesh and the Nova-Lift technique is to either create a scaffolding in order to support the tissues and keep them in the “V-shape” or where necessary, to delicately Lift the tissues and reposition the skin to recreate the “V-shape” where it’s been lost. During your consultation with our professional staff, we will discuss the options and the best course of action based on your goals.

Can The Neck and Jaw Be Treated With This Procedure?

Although Nova Threads can be inserted/injected almost anywhere, one particular area that was missing a non-surgical procedure is the area of the Jaw & the Neck. If you are seeking improvement in this area, please make sure to inquire with our staff and they will discuss the options with you.
